Our English speaking expert guide will welcome you at the entrance of the Borghese Gallery.
Your guided tour and pre-booked admission ticket offer you complete access to Bernini’s best works shown in this fabulous Villa museum.
The nephew of Pope Paul V, Cardinal Scipione Caffarelli Borghese, commissioned this villa in 1613 in his family vineyard, outside Porta Pinciana. Flaminio Ponzio planned the Casina, and after his death Giovanni Vasanzio continued his work.
You will see masterpieces by Caravaggio and Raphael, Bernini (Apollo and Daphne, David, The Rape of Proserpine), Titians’ Sacred and Profane Love, Canova’s Venus, scandalous portrait of Paulina Borghese, sister of Napoleon.
After the Borghese Gallery, your guide will take you for an exciting small walk through the Borghese Gardens, a onetime vineyard turned private park developed by the same Cardinal Scipione Caffarelli Borghese who built the gallery. There you’ll get the chance to enjoy the silence and the beauty of this park that is located in the heart of Rome.
This private tour is ideal for individuals, couples, friends, families and groups. An incredible in-depth visit into Baroque art, run by selected Art History expert guides.
This private tour can be scheduled at a time of your convenience and it includes a professional English guide for a private guided tour of Borghese Gallery.
