This tour is the perfect mixture of Art and good food.

Your English speaking tour guide will meet you at the Port, from where you will head to Piazzale Roma on your private luxury vehicle.

Your walking tour starts with a stroll along the quaint, narrow streets of Venice, to the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. This venue is possibly one of the most significant sites in Venice. Built in the 16th Century and frequented by the wealthy families of Venice, it was used to host charity events and take care of the indigent, ill and poor. What is interesting about this building is that some of the most renowned artists have left their print and graced us with their beautiful artworks, famous all over the World, at disposal of modern day visitors. These walls are the guardians of masterpieces of authors as Tintoretto, and Bellini. In fact, there are innumerous paintings by Tintoretto, in Scuola Grande di San Rocco, that will blow your mind away.

Another stop will be Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. This Franciscan church is a majestic Gothic building, absolutely breathtaking, adorned with impressive details, typical of the Gothic period. You will fully appreciate such graphic and unique decorations. You’ll admire a great variety of paintings and art works by famous painters such as Giovanni Bellini and Tiziano. As you enter the church, the first thing that will catch your eye will be the outstanding Assumption of the Virgin Mary, by Tiziano, Titian.

Your next stop will be at the Rialto Marketplace; this is one of the most scenic venues. A walk through the farmer’s market, between fruit and vegetable stands and the fresh fish stands, will guide you directly to a Venetian Osteria where you can enjoy yourself trying out the local, traditional Venetian cicchetti, a local appetizer, very good and savory, very similar to Spanish tapas. Usually paired with a glass of wine for a perfect aperitivo!                                                                                                                         You cannot end the day, without wandering through the narrow paths of Canal Grande.                                      Upon request we can provide private transportation back to the cruise terminal at the end of the tour.

PLEASE NOTICE: The Rialto’s Farmers’ market is open every morning except Sundays and the fish market is open every morning except Sundays and Mondays.
