Our English speaking chauffeur/guide will welcome you at your hotel or any other place of your convenience at 8:30am (suggested time). We will then following the ancient Via Tiburtina for about 20 miles east out of Rome.
This tour is one of the most popular closer day trips to the surroundings of Rome where you can immerse yourself in history and some of the most precious italian renaissance jewels.

Once arrived in Tivoli your tour begins with a visit of Hadrian’s Villa, the summer residence of one of the most popular Roman Emperors, Hadrian.

Walking through this amazingly preserved villa you will have the opportunity to admire some of its wonderful treasures, such as the Pecile (a faithful reconstruction of a porch of ancient Athens), the Naval Theatre, the large thermal baths, the Canpus (a faithful reproduction of an Egyptian shrine), and the Hadrian’s Villa Museum, filled with precious objects found during the excavations (including a copy of the Amazons by Phidias).
Hadrian’s Villa is one of the Italian UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Villa is a monumental living complex that even today continues to display the lavishness and enormous power of Ancient Rome.

After we will drive to Tivoli where your chauffeur/guide will be happy to suggest some typical local restaurants in the area.

We will then continue your tour with a visit of Villa d’Este, built by the grandson of Pope Alexander VI in the 16th century, one of the most beautiful palaces and gardens of Italy and perhaps of all Europe as well.
Initiated and commissioned by Cardinal of Ferrara Ippolito D’Este, when he was elected Governor of Tivoli. The entire complex is structured by a geometric system of paths, ramps, and steps altered around fountains, crypts, and arched walkways; it is defined as the peak of European garden concepts. This Villa homed Lucrezia Borgia’s son, famous for its unbelievable beautyful gardens, marvelous fountains, breathtaking waterfalls and centenary trees.
You may have time for a brief stroll at Tivoli’s  historical center before returning to Rome.

This tour is conducted by an English-speaking driver/guide that will not enter sites but drive you around and show you places, pointing out things while explaining what they are, as well as stopping at the places that require a visit and helping you access them.
