Your tour driver will welcome you at your ship’s dock in Civitavecchia at 8:00am (suggested time). You will travel for about 45 minutes on a hillside road, directly to the horse farm “I tre confini” of Macchia Grande from Rome or from Civitavecchia (for cruisers). Ugo the handler, along with your tour driver, will take you for a memorable ride.

We recommend this excursion to those who are familiar with this kind of activity, as the itinerary in the woods may be difficult for first-timers. But don’t worry, the handler will take you through a basic traning before you go. Safety first! Helmets will be provided by the horse farm. We suggest you wear comfortable clothes (jeans and comfortable shoes.). After the tour, you can enjoy a refreshment and a moment to relax at the horse farm.

Around lunch time, you’ll enjoy a ride on a luxury vehicle from the horse farm to a typical, local restaurant on the lake shore (Lake Bracciano). After lunch, we will visit the Medieval Castle of Bracciano and then enjoy a walk in the old town center.

Before going back to the Pier, we can take a scenic drive to Cerveteri, one of Italy’s great Etruscan cities, whose origins could date as far back as the 9th century BC. Time permitting, you can visit the necropolis near Cerveteri, known as Banditaccia, containing thousands of tombs organized in a city-like plan, with streets, small squares, and neighborhoods. The Etruscan necropolises of Cerveteri are UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Italy.
