Your chauffeur/guide from DGT will welcome you at La Spezia pier after disembarking your cruise ship by tender, he will welcome you at the parking lot holding a sign with your name on. La Spezia is a tendered port and the start time of your tour is subject to your arrival at the tender pier.

The Chianti Wine Region tour from La Spezia port begins with an approx. 90 minute journey (traffic pending) in the comfort of a private luxury vehicle.
You will Enjoy a day of fun at the famous Chianti vineyards, famous of producing some of the best wines in the world. Your driver/guide is at your disposal for the whole length of this tour making the most efficient use of your precious holiday time, catering to your interests and schedule, pointing out top sites and hidden gems, providing suggestions for lunch to suit your tastes and budgets.

During the scenic journey your expert driver/guide provides a comprehensive introduction to the region wine making history and the places you visit. This private tour ensures a personalized experience based on your interests with the utmost flexibility to explore at your own pace.

You can spend the day by tasting superb wines and sampling local specialties. Touring the cellars and learn about the process of wine making and traditional bottling methods. Among the 90 big and boutique wineries available we arrange also visit to small and upcoming new Chianti wine producers and organic extra virgin olive oil farms.

At the end of the tour your driver/guide will transfer you back to La Spezia port of call in perfect time to board your cruise ship.

This tour length is approximately 9 hours in total and is conducted by an English-speaking driver/guide that will not enter sites but drive you around and show you places, pointing out things while explaining what they are, as well as stopping at the places that require a visit and helping you access them.
