Your private tour driver will welcome you at your requested location in Rome, at around 8:00am to start a fantastic tour.

Your journey will begin with a trip through the hills and villages of the typical Roman Countryside. Feast your eyes with the beauty and essence of the surrounding hills, colored with olive groves and vineyard, wheat fields and haystacks. Before you know it, you’ll be immersed in the real Mediterranean culture. Escape from the usual, touristic routines and explore the central regions of this wonderful Italian Country!

Like the Umbrian Region for example. Today your private tour driver will welcome you to the Green Heart of Italy. Famous for the typical Etruscan, Roman and Medieval settlements. Quaint villages, still inhabited, by those who want to carry on the tradition of local customs, in the agricultural and historical field. But also artistically.

You will visit the fantastic little village of Deruta. A small hill town, most famous for its artistic singularity. Deruta is not only fascinating for its rustic, Medieval predominance, but for the refined ceramic, maiolica and pottery production, renowned Worldwide. The local clay deposits generate such a pure, high quality material, that ceramics has been a very important resource in the towns lifestyle, for centuries. In fact, the ceramics introduction is dated back to the Early Middle Ages, but found its artistic peak only in the 15 and 16th century, with its most popular style the “Bella Donna”: incredibly beautiful paintings of women  portrayed on typical ceramic plates, trimmed with colorful, floral patterns.

We highly recommend a walk in the old part of Town, such a rustic charming atmosphere… Then make sure to stop at the “Antica Fornace”, the most Ancient Pottery Kiln, converted to workshop, where you can find millions of art pieces of arty ceramics and tiles and maiolica, that are available to purchase. Take a piece of this incredible land back home with you!

Of course, the Umbrian region is also notorious for wine and olive oil production! For the perfect ending, your private tour driver will take you to another magnificent venue in the Umbrian Region. An ancient winery, that has taken innovating measure, to keep the tradition of wine and oil making alive. The vineyards in this winery, are so ancient that the record books have them dated back to the year 217 b.C. The winery also hosts centenary olive trees. Imagine taking a tour in this magical land. Since the owners aim to always create top quality products, they have introduced “green” solutions. In fact, they organize guided tours of the ancient vineyards and groves, with Zero emissions CO2 off-road golf carts. They try to preserve their land as much as possible. And the results are superb wines and olive oils. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy the breathtaking view from the terrace, appreciating a selection of local wines and none filtered olive oils, to sample with culinary samples and bruschettas.

At the end of such a captivating experience, your tour driver will take you back to your hotel in Rome.
