Your English speaking chauffeur/guide will welcome you at your hotel or any other place of your convenience for this fantastic journey to Monte Argentario.
If you are looking for a slice of seaside Tuscany in a less well-known destination but with plenty to do and see all year round, this is certainly the place to go.

The Argentario coastline is surely one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, a fabulous seaside not only for sea lovers.

Monte Argentario, with its mountain, its shores, beaches, lagoons and natural reserve, its the ideal place for nature walks lovers.

The Argentario offers bustling harbour towns and plenty of glitz and glamour, coupled with beautiful natural landscapes, a mild climate and several historical and cultural monuments.
There are two pretty harbour/resort towns at Monte Argentario which make good bases for sightseeing: Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano.

Porto Ercole is one of the most famous small and pretty harbour settlement in Tuscany and one of the two main towns on Argentario.
The harbor, where bars and restaurants are interspersed with terraces overlooking the sea and shops made by former warehouses of fishermen, is the ideal place for a walk, especially during summer.

Porto Santo Stefano is the largest town on Monte Argentario and is situated in a picturesque bay, complete with a bustling old port, busy streets and a chic marina, which is often frequented by more than a few luxury yachts!
You can take a relaxing stroll around, and stop at the Piazza dei Rioni for a cool drink or gelato at one of the many bars and restaurants. There is also a wonderful Spanish fortress situated in a dominating position and built to control the port during the Spanish rule in the 17th century. It’s in almost perfect condition and inside there are permanent exhibitions for you to wander around. Further Porto Santo Stefano has a fantastic culinary reputation for his excellent seafood, many italians from Rome and Northern Italy are also drawn here.

On the way back to Rome you can consider another stop in Capalbio, a charming medieval town, very lively all year round, but most of all, in the summer. From the ancient crenelated walls, rebuilt by the Sienese in order to defend the center, you can admire a breathtaking view of the Maremma area.

This tour lenght approximately 11 hours in total and is conducted by a highly trained chauffeur/guide English speaking that will not enter sites but drive you around and show you places, pointing out things while explaining what they are, as well as stopping at the places that require a visit and helping you access them.
