The battle of Anzio is an unforgettable event that shook the whole Italian Region to the core. It is one of the most important facts in our Country’s history during World War 2. Similar to D-Day, it represents the moment US Soldiers landed on ally grounds to fight in a battle that will change the lives of many significantly.

This experience is the perfect example of how important it is to remember. For all of the young soldiers who gave their contribution during World War 2, who fought the tyranny, for our freedom.

Your English speaking driver & expertise guide will welcome you at the dock beside your cruise ship at 7:30am, in Civitavecchia Port.

This private tour includes  Anzio’s Landing which took place on 22th January 1944.  And you will have the chance to retrace the paths of those who were present in Anzio and it’s district, during the Liberation from the Nazi fascists, which later occurred on 4th June 1944.

You will be with your own private English Speaking driver & expertise guide who will illustrate  all the details and the history of the sites you will be visiting during this interesting tour.

On this tour you will get the chance to see and visit the Anzio War Museum, Anzio War Cemetery (the American monumental cemetery or the English cemetery) and the Beachhead Cemetery, before going to the infamous Flyover at Campo di Carne, fighting scene in 1944.

Upon request you can visit the adjacent areas such as Peter Beach and x-ray BEACH. In addition, walk through the trenches and paths of American and British soldiers.

Our memorial tour ends with the visit of the Sicily Rome American Cemetery which is located not far from the beaches of the landing right in the heart of Nettuno and commemorates the US soldiers fallen from the landing in Sicily on 9thJuly 1943 to the liberation of Rome on June 4th, 1944.

At the end of the day, your private tour driver will escort you back to your cruise ship, in a timely manner.
