Your exploration begins with a 75 minutes drive north to the quaint village of Porto Ercole, the Roman Portus Herculis of antiquity; today a beautiful yacht harbor. The town is set in a bay and climbs steeply up a headland.  The port is a spectacular cove of clear blue Mediterranean water with sand and rock beaches. 
The ancient old town is looming above on a rock cliff and guarded by four stone forts on the surrounding hills.  You are free to spend your time to enjoy the calm and quite of Porto Ercole’s marinas and exploring the dark alleys, arches and steep flights of steps that were cut into the rock. Sit back, relax, have a drink with your lunch and enjoy your time spent between a quaint fishing village and an Italian, medieval village, well off the beaten path of the crowds that will head into Rome. If you choose to, take in one of the highlights in town, which include the 16th century Palazzo Consani, the old parish church of San Erasmo (where Caravaggio was buried in 1610) or enjoy one of the town's four fortresses: Fort Rocca, Fort Filippo, Fort Santa Caterina or Fort Stella.
Your next stop is Capalbio, a lovely medieval village about 45 minutes from Port Ercole.  The town is completely enclosed within a double set of walls, with extensive stretches that can still be walked.  Capalbio has narrow, curved streets climbing to the top of a hill.  Be sure to visit the Church of St. Nicholas with its interesting 15th and 16th Umbrian school frescoes.

Payments will be charged at the end of your service according to the rates quoted. We accept your payment in cash, credit card, and cheques.

Rates include: Driving guide service. Use of vehicle. Fuel and motorway tolls. Italian Taxes 10% IVA (VAT - Value Added Tax).

Rates do NOT include: * client’s meals * food and beverage * gratuities * 5% credit card commission * entrance fees to museums and monuments unless otherwise noted on the programs. Anything not expressly mentioned as included.

Cancellation policy
Please, note that there will be no charge if you cancel your reservation by fax or e-mail within at least 15 days before date of requested service. If is not done in these terms, our company reserves the right to debit the “no show fee” on your credit card which is:

• Cancellation 1 week before date of requested service: No Penalty
• Cancellation 72 hours before date and time of requested service: 10% Penalty
• Cancellation 48 hours before date and time of requested service: 30% Penalty
• Cancellation 24 hours before date and time of requested service: 50% Penalty
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the service fully charged.

Transportation
Transportation is furnished by licensed insured professional drivers only, who are qualified to perform public transportation services all over Europe.
