Florence (or Firenze, Florentia and Fiorenza) is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany, and of the province of Florence. It is the most populated city in Tuscany with 364.779 people.
From 1865 to 1870 the city was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. Florence lies on the Arno River and it is known for its history and its importance in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, exspecially for its art and architecture.
For this reasons, the city is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and was long ruled by the Medici family. In fact, the city has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages.
Pick up at your hotel in Rome at 08:00am and drive to Florence(2 and half hour driving). Florence represents the cradle of Renaissance, thanks to Medici court and their patronage which attired artists and writers, it became the central point for the cultural life during 15th and 16th centuries. But just during 13th and 14th centuries Florence gave us some illustrious character like Giotto, Cimabue, Arnolfo di Cambio and Orcagna who left with their masterpieces in the city of Lily, a lot of models for all Italian art. Cancellation policy
Please, note that there will be no charge if you cancel your reservation by fax or e-mail within at least 15 days before date of requested service. If is not done in these terms, our company reserves the right to debit the “no show fee” on your credit card which is:
- Cancellation 1 week before date of requested service: No Penalty
- Cancellation 72 hours before date and time of requested service: 10% Penalty
- Cancellation 48 hours before date and time of requested service: 30% Penalty
- Cancellation 24 hours before date and time of requested service: 50% Penalty
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the service fully charged.

Transportation is furnished by licensed insured professional drivers only, who are qualified to perform public transportation services all over Europe.
